Experience exciting scientific presentations on important topics such as sustainability & discipline in sport, camps, ski testing and much more. Economic players from the Pitztal and our sponsored athletes – including Ida-Sophie Hegemann (Trail), Leonie Raich (Ski) and Louis Gundolf (Climbing) – share their perspectives and experiences in the Hexenkessl. Be inspired by the experiences of our mountain guides and athletes. You will meet experts and professors who will share their insights and stories from their experience and expertise with you.

Are you a skier, snowboarder or simply enjoy the real winter in the Pitztal? Perfect! In Pitztal, the mountain guides and ski schools have joined forces to offer guests and locals of the Glacier Open a unique experience. From exciting ski tests to the Carving and Freeride Camp to the Kids Camp with Leonie Raich – every winter sports enthusiast will find the right adventure here.

• Ski test: Discover the latest ski models and find the perfect equipment for your next runs.
• Carving Camp (20 €): Improve your technique in our Carving Camp, where experts will give you valuable tips to master your turns even more precisely.
• Freeride Camp (20 €): For the more adventurous, our Freeride Camp offers the opportunity to explore untouched nature away from the slopes and enjoy the freedom of off-piste skiing.
• Kids Camp with Leonie Raich:* Young skiers can playfully develop their skills and have lots of fun at our Kids Race Camp under the guidance of Leonie Raich.

Hike to the ice cave (€ 20): Enjoy a guided hike to the impressive ice cave and experience the fascinating glacier world up close.

• Pimp my skis – waxing course (10 €): In our waxing course, you will learn how to prepare your skis or snowboards optimally to achieve the best possible performance on the slopes.

Course dates:

• Friday // Torch hike: 8:15 pm Meeting point in front of the Mandarfen information office
• Saturday // Camps: Meeting point mountain station Gletscherexpress – info tent
  1:30 hour per camp with the experts from:
  - 9:30 – 11:00 am
  - 12:00 – 1:30 pm
  - 2:00 – 3:30 pm
• Saturday // Glacier hike to the glacier cave: Meeting point mountain station Gletscherexpress – info tent
  Starting times:
  - 10:00 am
  - 1:00 pm

You can register for the camps in advance by e-mail at: presseinfo@pitztal.com or directly on site at the information tent at the Gletscherexpress mountain station. The number of participants is limited. Payment for the courses must be made in cash on site.

After an exciting and comprehensive program on Saturday, an atmospheric after-show party awaits you in the Hexenkessel, bringing the day to a sonorous close. On Sunday, a smaller but fine program will round off the successful Glacier Open before the 2024/25 winter season is officially launched on the Pitztal Glacier. The organizers are looking forward to welcoming numerous visitors and starting the new ski season together.
